This is bull. You cannot “penetrate” the skin with nutrients to stop aging. This is a myth supporting a billion dollar industry of ignorant and misinformed consumers.
Ask any real dermatologist.

You did not listen -thats not the point I am making.
My concerns are ‘NUTRITION’ -I only report the facts.
Don’t shoot the messenger

I listened again to your explanation and it still sounds like quackery going on about “penetrating the skin layer with thus-and-such… anti-aging benefits”. There is no such thing as “skin nutrition”. You sound like an infomercial.

The skin can be penetrated -How do you think Nicotine patches work??

tasha122277 July 18, 2009 at 2:34 pm

Nicotine penetrates into the bloodstream. Nutrients must be absorbed in the digestiuve system. Most drugs and most nutrients must be absorbed durng the digestive process. “SKin nutrition” is an ages old gimmick.

I’m pretty sure he was addressing some idea of superficially appearing younger, not that anyone is really stopping aging, or reversing it. You could still be falling apart deeper inside. And of course you can penetrate the skin, in a beneficial way. People can develop skin cancers and other ailments through absorbing the wrong stuff, or exposing themselves to too much of a not-good thing, why wouldn’t it work both ways?

tasha122277 October 16, 2009 at 8:32 am

It simply doesn’t work that way. UV rays penetrate this skin and break down collagen and elsatin: this is well known and supported by medical professionals. The only “anti-aging” supported widely by medical professionals is with a scalpel or laser. Do your homework.

ninjaruckus October 16, 2009 at 3:09 pm

I’ll happily do my homework. And you learn to read for understanding. Skin (like any other organ) cells can absorb both good and bad. I wasn’t really speaking anything specifically about “anti-aging.” That’s a bandwagon I’m not jumping on.

it’s very simple, nature shows you the rules very clearly, those species that live shorter have a high rate of reproduction, and those species that live longer have a lower rate of reproduction. for ej. germs, bugs, mice, bunny, rats etc..they live short but breed the most. and on the other side elephants, humans,crocodiles,etc..we live longer but breed slower. so the answer of longevity is simple, stop fucking . and also eat less. when the body starves it protect itself by preserving cells.

danielbooom November 19, 2009 at 6:56 pm

the key of “inmortality” is sacrifice not pills, nature won’t allow a predator irresponsable species to prosper in its kingdom. only those species that sacrifice and work for the betterment of nature are rewarded with the gift of life. for ej. insects, bacteria, germs, rats. etc. basically what we call “at the bottom of the food chain”.
it depends of what you think life is, to live longer or to reproduce more.

onthecuttingedge2005 February 1, 2010 at 3:29 pm

the skin appears older as it loses more genetic information during replication, over time to much genetic information is lost and one will appear very old. now, if you can give your body back the genetic information for replication then this would be in a sense the holy grail of rejuvenation not the skin but also the rest of the body as well. how do we go about re-implanting the youthful genetics back into our bodies to replace old genetic information?
